From The Desk Of Suzie Tyler

I can remember having competitions where there was a winner and first, second, or third runner-up. Now everyone gets a participation trophy and/or crown. The consensus is, that it will soften not winning and scar the participants who don’t win. Instead of saying I lost, I prefer the phrase, ‘I didn’t win.’

Winners are losers who never gave up! You always win more when you don’t win the prize by assessing where you can improve. A director of a pageant told a group of preteen girls, “You will go back to your room and pray to win. God can only answer yes to one girl. To the rest of you, He will say, ‘It’s not your turn.’”

That is a healthy attitude to look at any competition. If you weren’t the winner, God has a better plan for your journey.
