A lot of class reunions are held in the month of October.
When the 10th and 20th year reunion is held, everyone is trying to impress other classmates how successful they’ve become!
By the time 55, 60, and 65 are celebrated we are just happy to be there, wheelchair, oxygen tanks, walkers and all!
We want the reunion casual, economical, a good meal, with a quiet time to visit! Please! No loud bands. There is seldom dancing and it’s difficult to hear blaring background music with our hearing aids. Lol
My class of 1960 from Texarkans Arkansas High quit having annual reunions because the average age is 80-85.
Now we try to get together for a casual luncheon monthly for the ones in town or the area and still drive or have access to transportation.
If an out-of-town classmate comes to town we can always call and get a group together.
We are all retired and can accommodate another luncheon and visitation.
Any class year is welcome to attend and it’s an hour or two for reminising the days of high school years gone by!
We have gone from a senior to senior citizens!
